7 days Tangier to Marrakesh tour

Day 1: Tangier

Meet you at port and transfer to Fez passing by traditional villages along the road to arrive to the blue city where you will have a rest and lunch, after having your meal we will drive you directly through the Rif mountains to to Fez. Overnight accommodation.

Day2: exploring Fez

After breakfast, you can wander the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. First stop is the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter and the first Mellah ever built in Morocco in the 16th century. In Fes you’ll get to visit all the sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University – the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you’ll visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the new city “La ville nouvelle” for a drink. Overnight accommodation.

Day3: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Rissani – Merzouga

After breakfast in your riad we will drive southward to Ifran and Azrou in the Middle Atlas mountains, stop in the Cedar forest to see the Barbarian Ape in nature. We’ll travel through the Tizi Ntalghamt Pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock. Taking in views of the Middle-Atlas plateau, you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Errachidia. After lunch, continue our journey through the Ziz valley to Rissani and

 Merzouga

your camel will be awaiting you. After a glass of mint tea, you mount your camel and, guided by an experienced camel man, start your safari to explore within the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi. Here you will spend your night under the stars in a traditional Berber nomad tent. Dinner will be served in the tent where you will spend the night.

Day4: Merzouga – Toudra Gorges – Dades Gorges

Your camel man will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life. Afterwards, you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to your hotel. En route you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast in the hotel, you’ll leave for Tinghir, and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. Here you will have the opportunity to hike along the valley.After lunch in the heart of the gorge we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll
see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation in hotel in the heart of the gorge.

Day5: Dades Gorges – Ait Ben Hadou – Marrakech

After breakfast in the hotel we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazat. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna, “the rose city”, to purchase the rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over. Continue to Ouarzazat, “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch at the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After the visit of this UNESCO matrimonial historical site, now ahouse of the Glaoui family members, our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n’tichka Pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains, before arriving at your accommodation in Marrakech.

Day6: Exploring Marrakech:

After breakfast in the Riad , you can start exploring Marrakech ” the red city of . Your guide will ensure that you see the most important places of historical and cultural interest, including the Saadien tombs; the Palaces of El Bahia and El Badi and the Ben Youssef Coranique School. Lunch is at a restaurant near the square, then in the afternoon you’ll see the gardens at Majorelle, Menara and the Koutoubia tower. After dinner you will have the opportunity to walk around the ‘Square Jemaa El Fna’ full with magicians, story tellers, snake charmers and food sellers.

Day 7: Marrakech departure:

After breakfast, we will drive you to your chosen destination.
